Men in the UK will be able to buy Viagra over the counter after consulting with a pharmacist and without a prescription for the first time today.
ViagraConnect manufacturer, Pfizer, estimates more than a fifth of men aged over 18 in Britain suffer from erectile dysfunction, but almost half of those over 40 have not sought medical help.
The erectile dysfunction drug will be available in 14,000 stores across Britain and via pharmacy websites.
The tablets will be available exclusively from Boots until 10 April.
Those aged 18 and over will be able to buy the tablets following a conversation with a pharmacist or after filling out an online form. Men can ask to speak to a pharmacist in a private consultation room if preferred.
The pharmacists will determine whether treatment is appropriate for the patient and give advice on erectile dysfunction, usage of the medicine and potential side effects. They will advise men to consult with their doctor no less than six months after buying Viagra so that any potential underlying conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, or heart disease can be investigated.
A Boots spokesperson said that the man affected by erectile dysfunction should buy the drug themselves wherever practically possible.
Men with severe heart problems, those at high risk of heart problems, liver failure, kidney failure, strokes or those taking certain other medicines, will still need to be prescribed the drug under the supervision of a doctor.
A four-pack of the tablets will cost £19.99 and an eight-pack £34.99.
Men who buy it will be advised that they can take a 50 mg tablet an hour before having sex, but should not use more than one pill a day.
Viagra is is already available as an NHS prescription free of charge for those eligible not to pay for their prescriptions.
The pharmacist will decide how many packs will be supplied in a transaction.
The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) announced in November it was to steer men away from buying the tablets from. In 2016 £17m worth of unlicensed and counterfeit Viagra was seized.
Kristie Sourial, Pfizer’s medical manager, said: “It’s important to remember that erectile dysfunction is a medical condition, and that the impact often goes beyond the physical symptoms – it can lead to men feeling anxious, depressed and lacking in confidence.
“Our hope is that the availability of Viagra Connect in pharmacies will encourage men who do nothing about their erectile dysfunction to seek help, and encourage those who are inclined to seek help to do so sooner.”
Viagra tablets are controlled substances and are not violated by the over-the-counter availability of the tablets but doctors will have to determine if treatment is appropriate for the patient and give advice on erectile dysfunction, usage of the medicine andubesis.Read more
A Boots spokeswoman, however, does not think the treatment is appropriate, including sexual, emotional and also non-inflammatory pain or swelling and she was not immediately available for a refill.
Pfizer is expecting more than a day of results from the online consultation. It has also said it is in the making to cure some common side effects of Viagra and other ED medications. That will be covered under a specific “[Bartow Research study]".
The tablet market is highly valued at around £21 billion a year, and includes many antidepressants, blood pressure medicines and some antibiotics.

All customers who buy medication through the Website are required to have an active check-up within 30 days ofilling, as this will include a physical examination.
An assessment of their erectile dysfunction will take place in the consultation section. A member of the regular table will review their answers to create an improvement programme.
The prescriptors will determine if treatment is appropriate for the patient and give advice on erectile dysfunction.
Viagra, Pfizer Inc’s erectile dysfunction drug, and the rest of the pharmaceutical company’s brands are on the decline. However, there is one drug that has become a household name: Viagra. This prescription drug is used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) by helping to increase blood flow to the penis. It works by relaxing the blood vessels in the penis, allowing for increased blood flow during sexual arousal.
This is part of the problem for those in the market for ED drugs, since the majority of ED drugs treat a condition that affects millions of men worldwide. And because the drug works for many men, it’s important to know what’s in Viagra and what’s in Pfizer’s brand name. The two main drugs in Viagra are PDE-5 inhibitors (the main group of drugs in ED drugs) and PDE-2 inhibitors (the second group of drugs in Viagra). PDE-5 inhibitors help to relax blood vessels and increase blood flow to the penis. PDE-2 inhibitors work by blocking the enzymes that cause the breakdown of nitric oxide, which is what causes the blood vessels to relax. PDE-5 inhibitors help to decrease the amount of NO produced and increase blood flow to the penis.
In addition to the above, Pfizer is the world’s largest pharmaceutical company by revenue and has the largest market share in the world. The company’s other brands include:
Viagra is a PDE-5 inhibitor used to treat erectile dysfunction in men.
Pfizer is the world’s largest pharmaceutical company by revenue by sales and sales in 2020.
In 2022, Pfizer reported that it was expected to lose sales of its erectile dysfunction drugs, including its most popular brand, Viagra.
This loss of sales was due to several factors including:
This is one of the reasons that the pharmaceutical company has had its products lose their patent protection. In 2018, Pfizer’s erectile dysfunction drugs, including its Viagra, were sold to various drug companies in Europe and the United States. In 2019, Pfizer sold more than $1 billion worth of Viagra to various drug companies.
The pharmaceutical industry is very profitable, and the company has an excellent track record for generating sales and profits. The company has also been recognized for its ability to successfully lower its costs by investing in research and development.

Forum Thread:How to Find the Right Dosage of VIAGRA
Hi everyone,
I've been looking into using VIAGRA (Generic Sildenafil Citrate) for ED treatment for about a year now. I've noticed a significant difference with my lifestyle and diet. My prescription is the lowest available dosage. However, I would like to find a dosage that is suitable for me and can be ordered without a doctor's prescription. Is there a way to do this? I was wondering if anyone has tried this and found a good solution?
Hi User,
I would like to know if you could help me with my ED treatment? I was prescribed VIAGRA 50mg in the past and was only able to see a reduction in my ED symptoms. I did a little research and found out that it works like a charm to get your ED prescription. Thanks so much!
Thank you again User,
This information is important as it can help you in your choice of ED treatment.
Also, please read my other posts about taking the VIAGRA dose and how to use it effectively.
You're welcome!
Stay healthy!
Hi User!
I've found that VIAGRA comes with an effective dosage that works for a few different ED treatments. In addition to that, it's also good for treating other conditions like chest pain, headaches, and digestive issues.
The main difference between VIAGRA and VIAGRA-50mg-90mg-100mg is that VIAGRA is taken orally and the dosage is based on the body weight. VIAGRA-50mg-100mg can be taken at any time of the day. However, it's important to stick to the recommended dosage for your ED symptoms and to be aware of side effects and drug interactions.
For me, the VIAGRA dosage works well for me. VIAGRA (Generic Sildenafil Citrate) 50mg is the lowest effective dosage for treating ED symptoms. It's only 50mg per day. If you have any concerns or questions, feel free to ask.
Thank you all for the information User! I will definitely be using it in my future ED treatment.
Please read my other posts about taking the VIAGRA dose and how to use it effectively.
